Projekta mērķis ir samazināt plūdu apdraudējumu Ošupes, Barkavas, Murmastienes, Varakļānu un Dekšāres pagastā, palielināt pagastu iedzīvotāju drošību, tādējādi veicinot uzņēmējdarbības attīstību teritorijā un uzlabojot iedzīvotāju dzīves kvalitāti.Projekta galvenās darbības ir valsts nozīmes ūdensnotekas Meirānu kanāls, ŪSIK kods 4234:01, atjaunošana, pik.113/33 - 241/93. Tai skaitā projektēšana, būvdarbu veikšana, būvuzraudzība un projekta vadība. Projekta izpildes rezultātā tiks atjaunota valsts nozīmes ūdensnoteka Meirānu kanāls, samazinot plūdu draudus 27 Ošupes, Barkavas, Murmastienes, Varakļānu un Dekšāres pagasta iedzīvotājiem, plūdu draudu skartajā 993,8 ha Ošupes, Barkavas, Murmastienes, Varakļānu un Dekšāres pagasta teritorijā. Pēc projekta īstenošanas tiks palielināta dabas teritoriju vērtība, pievilcīgums un nodrošināta produktīva teritorijas izmantošana. Projekta īstenošanas kopējās izmaksas ir 1 259 468,15 EUR, no kuriem ERAF atbalsta apjoms ir 85% jeb 1 070 547,93 EUR. Projekta īstenošanu plānots uzsākt 2018. gada martā un pabeigt 2020. gada septembrī. Projekta atbalstāmās darbības - priekšdarbi būvniecības ierosināšanai un būvprojektēšana ir uzsākta kopš 2016. gada janvārī pirms līguma par projekta īstenošanu parakstīšanu. (Latvian)

The project will result in restoration of the state-important watercourse Meirans channel, reducing the risk of flooding in 27 inhabitants of Ošupe, Barkava, Murmastiene, Varakļāni and Dekšaare parish, 993.8 ha affected by flood threats in the territory of Ošupe, Barkava, Murmastiene, Varakļāni and Dekšare parish. After the implementation of the project, the value, attractiveness and productive use of the territory will be increased. The total costs of project implementation are EUR 1259468,15, of which ERDF support amount is 85 % or EUR 1070547,93. Project implementation is planned to start in March 2018 and finish in September 2020. The project’s supported activities – preparatory works for initiation of construction and construction project started since January 2016 before signing the contract on implementation of the project.
