Les Écoles de la 2e Chance (E2C) émanent des objectifs définis par le Livre Blanc « Enseigner et apprendre : vers la société cognitive », proposé par Édith Cresson et adopté par la Commission européenne en 1995. Les E2C ont pour objectif d'accueillir et de former des jeunes de moins de 26 ans sans qualification, afin de les conduire vers une insertion professionnelle durable. Le dispositif doit atteindre 40% de sorties positives, définies par la charte du réseau E2C. (French)

The Second Chance Schools (E2C) stem from the objectives set out in the White Paper "Teaching and Learning: towards the cognitive society", proposed by Édith Cresson and adopted by the European Commission in 1995. The aim of the E2Cs is to welcome and train young people under the age of 26 without qualifications, in order to lead them towards sustainable professional integration. The device must reach 40 % positive outputs, as defined by the E2C network charter. (English)
