Les opérations du programme s'attachent à assurer la restauration du saumon atlantique qui avait disparu du bassin de la Garonne et à assurer une gestion raisonnée de la ressource pour des espèces qui sont encore fortement exploitées comme la lamproie et l'alose (moratoire grande alose). Dans ce cadre, les actions permettent de préserver la biodiversité et d'assurer la continuité écologique en protégeant les habitats. (French)
