The aim of the project is to increase the chances of the 26 inhabitants of urban or rural municipalities of Lithuania (24 women and 2 men) to take up or maintain employment through the creation of 16 childcare places for children between 1 and 3 years old from 1.07.2019 to 31.08.2021. The project participants will be: (a) unemployed or inactive persons who are out of the labour market because of their obligation to care for children up to the age of 3, including those who have interrupted their career as a result of having a child or who are on parental leave within the meaning of the Labour Code Act, (b) those working, caring for children up to 3 years (including those on maternity or parental leave). As part of a project in Lidzka WarMinsk, a children club will be created in which 16 places will be created so that the child’s parents aged between 1 and 3 will be able to take care of the child, thereby enabling them to enter the labour market or to remain in employment. The child’s care programme will be based on a strategy to stimulate children’s activity, focus on the need for movement and play and the concept of personal development in accordance with the potential and opportunities of the child. The first step in the project will be the purchase of equipment, including the purchase and installation of the playground equipment with a secure pavement and fence. In the period from 1.09.2019 to 31.08.2021, care will be provided for children between the ages of 1 and 3, within the framework of new places, which will help to improve the employability of their parents/legal guardians.
