Hankkeen lähtökohtana on tarve hyödyntää kaupunkien fyysisten alueiden toiminnallisia erityispiirteitä yritysinnovaatioiden lähteenä. Kohdealueen erityispiirteet ja toiminnot muodostavat yrityksille kehitysalustan ideoida ja pilotoida uusia tuote- ja palveluaihioita. Samalla alueen yrityskehitystoiminta tukee alueen maankäytön suunnittelua. Hankkeen tavoitteena on luoda uudentyyppinen, fyysiseen alueeseen ja sen toimintoihin perustuva kehitysalusta ja innovaatioympäristö yritysten tuotteiden ja palvelujen uudistamiselle. Tavoitteena on myös kehittää menetelmiä ja työkaluja tukemaan fyysiseen alueeseen perustuvaa yrityskehitystoimintaa. Tälllöin fyysisten alueiden suunnittelu muodostaa yrityksille innovaatioympärisön ja kehitysalustan. Innovaatiotoimintaa tuetaan uuden tyyppisilla työkaluilla ja menetelmillä, joista keskeisin kehitettävä työkalu on yritysarkkitehtuurikilpailu. Kilpailulla haetaan ehdotuksia aktiivisesti kehitettävistä yritystoiminnoista. Hankkeessa lisätään yhteistyötä maankäytön suunnittelun, yritysten ja tutkimus- ja kehittämistoiminnan välillä. Hankkeen toteutus jakautuu neljään työpakettiin, jotka muodostava toisiaan tukevan kokonaisuuden. Työpaketti 1) Hankkeen koordinaatio ja viestintä 2) Kehittämismenetelmän perustan luominen, innovaatioverkosto ja työkalut 3) Menetelmän soveltuvuuden arviointi ja virittäminen 4) Menetelmän pilotointi valitussa/valituissa kohteissa. Yhtenä hankkeen pilottialueena on Seinäjoen asemanseutu sekä mahdollisuuksien mukaan myös NLC Cargo Roveksen alueella ja NLC Airport, lentoasema.Hankkeen tuloksena syntyy uusi menetelmä yritysinnovaatiotoimintaan. Menetelmän lähtökohtana on kohdealueen erityispiirteisiin tukeutuva innovointikonsepti, joka muodostuu:- yritysarkkitehtuurikilpailun toteutusmallista- innovaatioverkostosta, joka tukee yritysarkkitehtuurikilpailua ja jatkuvaa yrityskehitystoimintaa- innovointiprosessin mallista (jota voidaan hyödyntää erityiskohteiden yrityskehitysprosesseissa)- potentiaalisista yritysinnovaatioista (jotka voivat hyödyntää kohdealueen toimintaympäristöä kehitys- ja testausalustana) sekä- konseptista, jolla tuotetaan tietoa yritysinnovaatioista maankäytön suunnittelun tueksi. The starting point for the project is the need to use the functional characteristics of the physical areas of the cities as a source of business innovation. The special features and functions of the target area constitute a development platform for companies to brainstorm and pilot new product and service ideas. At the same time, the region’s business development activities support land-use planning in the region. The aim of the project is to create a new type of development platform based on the physical area and its functions and an innovation environment for the renewal of companies’ products and services. The aim is also to develop methods and tools to support business development based on the physical area. In this way, the planning of physical areas is an innovation and development platform for companies. Innovation is supported by new types of tools and methods, of which the main tool to be developed is the Enterprise Architecture Competition. The competition seeks proposals for active business development. The project will increase cooperation between land use planning, businesses and R & D activities. The implementation of the project is divided into four work packages, which form a mutually supportive whole. Work package 1) Project coordination and communication 2) Establishing the foundation of the development method, innovation network and tools 3) Assessment and tuning of the appropriateness of the method 4) Piloting the method in selected/selected sites. One of the pilot areas of the project is the Seinäjoki station area and, where possible, NLC Cargo Roves and NLC Airport, the airport. The project will result in a new method of business innovation. The starting point of the method is the innovation concept based on the specificities of the target area, which consists of:- the implementation model of the enterprise architecture competition- the innovation network that supports enterprise architecture competition and continuous business development- the model of the innovation process (which can be utilised in the enterprise development processes of the specific target areas)- potential business innovations (which can use the target area’s operating environment as a development and testing platform) and- a concept for producing information on enterprise innovations to support land use planning.
