Tuotekehitystä varten Ylivoimala on investoimassa simuloivan tehodynamometrin hankintaan ja raskaankaluston testilaboratorion kehittämiseen. Testilaboratorio on tarkoitus asentaa Ylivoimalan Ruskossa sijaitseviin tiloihin. (Finnish)

For product development, Supervoima is investing in the acquisition of a simulated power dynamometer and in the development of a heavy equipment test laboratory. The test laboratory is to be installed in the premises of the power plant in Rusko. In the test laboratory, it is possible to use the latest technology in the field to further develop engine programmes to the most cost-effective, fuel-efficient and better fit for their purpose. There are currently no similar laboratories in Finland, so we would be pioneers in the field. In the test laboratory, it is possible to simulate, for example, an optimal program for the engine depending on the route and the purpose of the car. This will make it possible to make fully-identified solutions for transport operators, which will further improve the productivity and fuel efficiency of cars. (English)
