Projekt obejmuje realizację 2 zadań w Gdańsku na Wyspie Sobieszewskiej: Zadanie 1 obejmuje budowę odcinka trasy rowerowej: na poboczu ul. Świbnieńskiej oraz na wałach przeciwpowodziowych Wisły wraz z odbiciem w bok do przystanie wodnej w Błotniku, biegnącym na poboczu ul. Urwistej oraz wykonanie dla tego odcinka dodatkowego oznakowania pionowego, wymaganego przez UMWP i zgodnego z wymogami EuroVelo. Reszta trasy zostanie oznakowana w ramach bliźniaczego projektu dot. trasy R-10, gdyż obie trasy częściowo pokrywają się. Zadanie 2 obejmuje budowę miejsca wypoczynku w sąsiedztwie śluzy w Przegalinie, składającego się z: pola namiotowego, sanitariatu i punktu widokowy. Celem Projektu jest poprawa atrakcyjności turystycznej miejsc o szczególnych walorach kulturowych i przyrodniczych w Gdańsku poprzez budowę brakujących odcinków trasy rowerowe R-9, przebiegających przez teren Gminy Miasta Gdańska oraz budowę miejsca wypoczynku .
