The socio-professional accompaniment of the GDVs intervenes in the reception areas developed, the areas of small and large passages. The support provided is carried out in the form of interviews on the premises of local duty stations, physical accompaniment as part of integration procedures (social, health and professional) and home visits in caravans. Social follow-up is offered to Travellers and is based solely on family membership. The value of this support is that it makes it possible to identify a resource person whose intervention is multi-purpose. The objective of social support is, among other things, to develop a sense of citizenship and belonging to a society by allowing people from the community of Travellers to preserve their cultural identity. The speakers perform constant mediation work and are “relay persons”. Indeed, the families met seem to be frying and fearful about the devices that represent the world of “gadjés”. Meeting Travellers with institutions is often the encounter of two apprehensions and their confrontation can generate aggression. _They have the following tasks: * Facilitate the access of Travellers to common law schemes by offering them socio-professional support in the fields of social and professional integration, health, schooling, housing and administrative procedures * Fostering the social link between Travellers and sedentaries (administrations, schools, elected representatives, neighbourhoods...) by having a role as mediator * Establish projects adapted to the needs of the public in connection with common law arrangements * Participate in the reflection on the creation, rehabilitation and functioning of the places of reception of the GDV. Le schéma départemental prévoit l'évaluation des besoins et de l'offre et définit les actions à caractère social (article 1 et 6 de la loi Besson 2). La politique départementale s'illustre donc par la formation de différents groupes de travail tels que la scolarisation, la santé, l'habitat, l'insertion professionnelle, l'accompagnement social, la prévention et la sécurité entre les acteurs locaux, départementaux, régionaux et nationaux. Les travailleurs sociaux interviennent auprès du public gens du voyage selon une sectorisation des zones géographiques distinctes (voir fiche action). Les accompagnateurs socioprofessionnels des GDV interviennent sur les aires d'accueil aménagées, les aires de petits et grands passages. L'accompagnement mis en œuvre s'effectue sous la forme d'entretiens sur les lieux de permanences communaux, d'accompagnements physiques dans le cadre de démarches d'insertion (sociale, sanitaire et professionnelle) et de visites à domicile au sein des caravanes. Le suivi social est proposé aux gens du voyage et il s'appuie uniquement sur l'adhésion de la famille. L'intérêt de cet accompagnement est qu'il permet d'identifier une personne ressource dont l'intervention est polyvalente. L'objectif de l'accompagnement social est, entre autre, de développer un sentiment de citoyenneté et d'appartenance à une société en permettant aux personnes issues de la communauté des Gens du Voyage de conserver leur identité culturelle. Les intervenants effectuent un travail constant de médiation et sont des « personnes relais ». En effet, les familles rencontrées semblent frileuses et craintives vis-à-vis des dispositifs qui représentent le monde des « gadjés ». La rencontre des gens du voyage avec les institutions constitue souvent la rencontre de deux appréhensions et leur confrontation peut générer de l'agressivité. _Elles ont pour missions de_ : * Faciliter l'accès des gens du voyage aux dispositifs de droit commun en leur proposant un accompagnement socioprofessionnel dans les domaines de l'insertion sociale et professionnelle, la santé, la scolarisation, l'habitat et les démarches administratives * Favoriser le lien social entre les gens du voyage et les sédentaires (Administrations, écoles, élus, voisinage...) en ayant un rôle de médiateur * Mettre en place des projets adaptés aux besoins des publics en lien avec les dispositifs de droit commun * Participer à la réflexion sur la création, la réhabilitation et le fonctionnement des lieux d'accueil des GDV.
