The main problem justifying the need for the project is the great difficulty of entering into or keeping in the labour market those who are at a disadvantage on the labour market and are the most affected by the lack of competence. This is linked, among other things, to the lack of knowledge of foreign languages and computer services and the lack of skills in the regional labour market, as well as difficult access to high-quality training courses, which hinders the planning of professional development and limits the possibility of finding a job. The project involves increasing participation by the end of September 2018 and upgrading the skills of 319 people aged 18 years and over, who are in a disadvantaged position in the labour market, who study, work or reside in the Opolskie region. The project is addressed to people who, on their own initiative, want to raise professional qualifications in foreign languages and/or ICT. Project participants — UP will be supported in the form of educational advice (4h) and language training (120h, English or German at different levels) or computer (120h courses out of 5 areas: Information, Communication, Content, Safety, Settlement of problems). Each training session results in an external examination and provides the possibility of obtaining documented language qualifications (TGLS certificate) and/or computer certificates confirming the acquisition by the UP of certain competences (in the case of the language courses defined in accordance with the CEFR and in the case of ICT courses in accordance with the Digital Competence Framework.
