The purpose of the project proposed for funding is to protect and exploit the natural heritage as a tourist potential of the ponds located in Lomagne and the surrounding area. The implementation of the work will significantly improve the attractiveness of the site, mainly through improved physical accessibility: car park, walking, building bridges. The investment, as described, is located in the place of a former brick factory, which has become a degraded site after a buoyant activity. The purpose of the project is to improve the infrastructure around the ponds, covering the entire area around, within the parcel belonging to the Applicant. The target group to which the project is addressed are tourists, residents of the municipality and the municipalities which see the need to renew and preserve natural and cultural heritage, together with the optimum use of the value of the natural environment in order to improve economic and touristic attractiveness. The project includes: cycling with a car park (two places for disabled people), construction of bicycle racks, lighting execution (16 LED poles), monitoring (two video cameras including independent power supply with photovoltaic panels and video overviews on the Contractor’s side, site remediation: cleaning, grubbing-up of bushes, levelling of the bush, levelling of terrain and plated grass, laying down information and tourist tables on the area, decaying down to rest for cyclists and pedestrians, sanitation with WC for people with disabilities, dressing of cream and benches and the construction of 8 ponds. As a result of the investment, the number of visitors is expected to increase by about 18.47 % compared to 2017, one member of the marginalised group will be recruited, and the degraded natural heritage, including the pond area, will be made available to the wider public at the same time as it is protected.
