This project consists of funding a doctoral grant under the AUDACE 2016 challenge, a research project selected by the call for projects “Research 2016–CPER 2015-2020”. The project presented by AUDACE in 2016 is titled “ConnectSens”. It is part of the field of digital technologies and the modelling of issues related to environmental ecosystems. The aim is to develop an experimental platform for collecting and pooling environmental data through an “environmental cloud”. This in-situ measurement platform is based on the use of wireless communication networks for rapid data collection and transmission to a well station, connected to the Internet, responsible for storing data in a community-accessible database. The ERDF co-financing requested under this dossier relates to the thesis “Materiel architecture and protocols for wireless sensor networks adapted to environmental monitoring” (LIMOS: Laboratory of Informatics, Modelling and Optimisation of Systems) — Université Clermont Auvergne ex-Université Blaise Pascal). This project has been validated by the CART (Auvergne Committee for Research and Technology) and is part of the Strategic Innovation Area “Health Prevention and Living Comfort” of the Auvergnate Intelligent Specialisation Strategy.
