Specifically, the “life and building” insertion site uses polymaintenance support to help people away from work to integrate or re-enter the world of work. Our system wants to act as a springboard to employment. Integrated into a team each of the people hired in an assisted contract is accompanied and guided to set up a real professional project and above all to lift the brakes that so far did not allow this project to succeed. Persons hired are employed on an assisted contract and as such receive remuneration. The compensation for the salary paid their request to carry out work which is certainly of social benefit but which has the merit of putting them back into a professional situation and helping them to learn or relearn the knowledge to be and the know-how necessary in this context. To carry out this work, CCAS has agreed with the OPH Perpignan Méditerranée, but also with ERDF: __Convention with OPH Perpignan Méditerranée_: _Our support for the integration site is, for a large part of the working time, within the framework of this partnership. We intervene in various more or less degraded HLM cities, in which the inhabitants feel that they are “laid for account”.We rehabilitate and paint these spaces. In these territories our action remains in the field of social utility and can complement more ambitious programmes such as that of the PNRU. Our regular presence on a site makes it possible to recreate a social connection with the inhabitants, and above all to raise their awareness of the interest of better living in the city when the living environment is improved. We have also asked the OPH to entrust to us on occasion the rehabilitation of flats very degraded by some tenants (this allows us to diversify the professional gesture and to develop the learnings of polymaintenance such as the rehabilitation of the soil, the work of small masonry or Placoplatre that can be carried out). __Convention with ERDF_. _In this context, our insertion site paints ERDF transformers. The city of Perpignan has more than 300.
