With the help of adapted pedagogical tools and time, train in the teaching of the traffic code, pupils in situations of illiteracy or even exclusion, who are not eligible in traditional driving schools. The project is divided into two actions: a module for “relearning basic knowledge” and a module for teaching the road code. Upstream of theoretical training and then in parallel; depending on the needs, availability and demands of students, students follow the module “re-learning of basic knowledge”. A work on vocabulary, understanding of sentences, logical and spatial reasoning is necessary to understand, give meaning and memorise the general theoretical knowledge required by theoretical training in the traffic code. An assessment of the basic knowledge is made prior to enrolment, to verify the student’s eligibility. It will make it possible to offer training content to applicant students. The route code is taught by level group: Beginners, intermediates and finals. No more than 10, they are questioned each in turn to learn how to speak, to argue an answer, to discuss it in a group if disagreement... to report in detail makes it possible to verify understanding. Courses are taken gradually according to the degree of difficulty, with 2 or 3 sessions per week. The tests of 40 questions are done only after that, i.e. about 4 months after the start. The routes are very often long. (English)

(French)
