A project for the improvement of the energy efficiency of public buildings concerns the Primary School in Jaw. The building in question is a very energy-intensive building and therefore needs to be interfered with by the municipal authorities which own it. The school will cover the following localities: Yaw, Suspended, Rokidly gm. Lubartów. The target group for the project is the children (89 persons) attending school, as well as the parents of the children and the staff of the site (19 persons). In terms of financial benefits, the project will be the most affected by the authorities of the municipality of Spisczyn and the Directorate of the School who, in a reduced need for primary energy needed to heat the building, heating the water and the electricity from the grid, will suffer a substantial decrease in the cost of maintaining it. The improvement of ambient air quality will be a very important element of the project, as it will be reduced by the exchange of coal, the replacement of the coal furnace into gas, smoke and the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere from coal combustion. In addition, the project will contribute globally to improving the quality of duplications — an increase in the use of renewable energy sources for the heating of hot water, the use of energy-efficient lighting, and the thermal renovation of the building at all levels, will result in lower demand for the building for primary energy. The investment is therefore in line with the air protection programme for the Lublin area. Main tasks to be carried out: insulation of the outer walls, warming of the roof, replacement of external doors, renovation of the heating system, C.T. and hot water, mechanical ventilation, replacement of the coal furnace into a gas oven, replacement of lighting points for energy efficient and installation of a plant using renewable energy sources (heat pump) for water heating for utility purposes.
