It should be pointed out that it was decided to list the lighting fittings covered by the scope of the project in order to achieve high result indicators, ensuring environmental protection and a significant reduction in electricity consumption, and by reducing CO2 emissions, than in the case of systematic replacement of luminaires which are exclusively owned by the municipality of Kowalewo Pomerania. Przedsięwzięcie pod nazwą "Modernizacja oświetlenia ulicznego na terenie miasta i gminy Kowalewo Pomorskie" polega na przeprowadzeniu wymiany nieefektywnych i energochłonnych opraw oświetleniowych na energooszczędne typu LED wraz z zastosowaniem autonomicznej redukcji mocy w oprawach, zlokalizowanych na terenie Gminy Kowalewo Pomorskie w ciągach komunikacyjnych i na ogólnodostępnych przestrzeniach publicznych, a także w parku. W ramach przedsięwzięcia założono wymianę 832 sztuk opraw. Należy podkreślić, iż postanowiono wymienić oprawy oświetleniowe objęte zakresem przedmiotowym projektu po to, aby osiągnąć wysokie wskaźniki rezultatu, zapewniając ochronę środowiska i znaczne zmniejszenie zużycia energii elektrycznej, a poprzez to redukcję emisji CO2, niż w przypadku systematycznej wymiany opraw oświetleniowych stanowiących wyłącznie własność jednostki samorządu terytorialnego – Gminy Kowalewo Pomorskie.
