Project to validate the use of waste industrial materials generated in Asturias, as precursor agents to expansion or porosity in the production of expanded clay and light fire clay. These properties are currently provided by commercial organic additives of plant origin, which comprise between 12% and 20% of the total manufacturing cost, with high impact on transport costs to distant markets._x000D_ The industrial waste initially selected is: cellulose-type waste, cocoa husks, coffee bean husks, apple pulp and waste from steel making.
