La videovigilancia de la via pública se enmarca en las funciones y competencias municipales del Servicio de Policía Local y tiene la finalidad de contribuir a asegurar la convivencia ciudadana, la erradicación de la violencia y utilización de los espacios públicos de forma segura. Con el fin de incrementar la sensación subjetiva de seguridad y disuadir de la comisión de infracciones, el presente proyecto tiene como objetivo instalar un sistema de 15 videocámaras en las calles del Barrio del Carmen. Las imágenes recibidas se enviarán a la Sala de Control de Policía Local. Se pretende cambiar el concepto de cámaras de vigilancia a un nuevo concepto sobre videosensores que mediante analítica de vídeo, sean capaces de informar en el tiempo real del estado de la ciudad mejorando la eficiencia en su gestión. The video surveillance of public roads is part of the municipal functions and powers of the Local Police Service and is intended to contribute to ensuring citizen coexistence, the eradication of violence and the safe use of public spaces. In order to increase the subjective sense of security and deter the commission of infractions, this project aims to install a system of 15 camcorders in the streets of Barrio del Carmen. The images received will be sent to the Local Police Control Chamber. It aims to change the concept of surveillance cameras to a new concept about video sensors that through video analytics, are able to inform in real time the state of the city improving the efficiency of its management.
