The purpose of this application is to replace the GC-TOF system associated with the Central Analysis Service-Bizkaia (SCAB) of the General Research Services of the University of the Basque Country (SGIker), in order to respond to the demand for analysis of volatile compounds of low molecular weight._x000D_ The system has a gas chromatograph coupled to a mass spectrometer with a flight time analyser and is located in the Faculty of Science and Technology. This equipment, acquired in 2004, has been damaged since January 2015 due to a failure in an electronic card that is discontinued and no longer supplied. During the period 2010-2014 the demand was 517 applications with a total of 1923 samples._x000D_ The requested equipment is a GC/Q-TOF gas chromatograph system, equipped with multimode injector (PVT), automatic sampler and tray of 150 vials coupled to a Q-TOF mass spectrometer with interchangeable EI and CI sources, it also incorporates a TSP probe for direct introduction of solid and liquid samples._x000D_ The proposal is supported by research groups from the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Medicine, as well as from the companies FAES FARMA, DTS OABE S.L. and DinaKin S.L.
