Se pretende mejorar el rendimiento energético de los edificios donde se prestan los servicios de acogimiento residencial de menores sobre quines se asuma u ostente previamente alguna de las medidas de tutela o guarda. Para ello se intervendrá en función de lo que aconsejen las respectivas auditorías energéticas en la epidermis del edificio, en el sistema de producción de agua caliente, en los sistemas de climatización, la mejora del sistema de iluminación y el aprovechamiento de energías renovables.
