The overall objective of the project is to expand the existing laboratory of “Autonomous Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems” in order to achieve three specific objectives: (1) generation of more renewable electricity; (2) Increased renewable hydrogen generation capacity and (3) inclusion of a fast-loading and unloading power source to meet instantaneous demands. The objectives (1) and (2) go together, as the (2) is satisfied with a new electrolyser for which we need the (1). Thus, since we have about three times the installed photovoltaic power than wind, we have decided to expand it by purchasing a new 20 kW mill (this is part of the equipment of this request). On the other hand, since the current electrolyser is alkaline, we have decided to expand the production of renewable hydrogen with a PEM electrolyser of 2 Nm3/h (it is part of the equipment of this request), not only because it has another technology, but because the PEM electrolyser has advantages over alkaline, mainly in terms of efficiency and direct compression of hydrogen in the production process itself. Finally, the objective (3) arises from the need to have a source capable of generating instant power. This is not possible with the fuel cells or the battery bank at our disposal. This need has led us to bet on a bank of ultra-condensers. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(Spanish)

(English)
