La zona de actuación cuenta en su interior con los dos pulmones verdes de los que dispone la ciudad son el monte Tossal, y el monte Benacantil, que si bien en el siglo pasado quedaban en el límite del entramado urbano, en la actualidad quedan rodeados por ciudad consolidada._x000D_ _x000D_ El objeto de la operación es la adecuación de las zonas verdes o parques forestales urbanos de las laderas que rodean la fortalezas conocidsa como Castillo de San Fernando en el monte Tossal, y el Castillo de Santa Barbara en el monte Benacantil._x000D_ _x000D_ La topografía del terreno presenta una fuerte pendiente en sentido este – oeste, incluyendo momentos de desniveles verticales de varios metros y vaguadas rofundamente marcadas en el terreno._x000D_ _x000D_ La ladera del Monte Tossal supone una frontera ente las áreas deportivas y culturales alli diseminadas, y los barrios inferiores de Campoamor y Carolinas Bajas, incluidos en el ámbito de la EDUSI Las Cigarreras, lo que obliga a los ciudadanos a realizar grandes rodeos, las más de las veces utilizando el transporte privado. Conseguir que modifiquen sus hábitos y realicen estos desplazamientos a través de la ladera objeto del proyecto, es sin duda un reto importante._x000D_ _x000D_ El planteamiento básico de la propuesta en ambos montes, es realizar una colección de recorridos de diferente dificultad, claramente localizables, con dotación de vegetación frondosa y espacios de descanso, que inviten a explorar la posibilidad de adentrarse sin temor hasta convertirlo en zona habitual de paso entre las instalaciones superiores y los barrios inferiores. The area of action has in its interior the two green lungs that the city has are Mount Tossal, and Mount Benacantil, which although in the last century remained at the edge of the urban framework, are currently surrounded by consolidated city._x000D_ _x000D_ The object of the operation is the adaptation of the green areas or urban forest parks of the slopes that surround the fortresses known as Castillo de San Fernando in Mount Tossal, and the Castle of Santa Barbara on Mount Benacantil._x000D_ _x000D_ The topography of the terrain has a strong slope east — west, including moments of vertical slopes of several meters and roughly marked vaguadas on the terrain._x000D_ _x000D_ The slope of Mount Tossal is a border between the sports and cultural areas scattered there, and the lower neighborhoods of Campoamor and Carolinas Bajas, included in the scope of the EDUSI Las Cigarreras, which forces citizens to make large roundabouts, most often using private transport. Getting them to change their habits and make these journeys through the hillside object of the project, is undoubtedly an important challenge._x000D_ _x000D_ The basic approach of the proposal in both mountains, is to make a collection of routes of different difficulty, clearly located, with lush vegetation and rest spaces, that invite you to explore the possibility of entering fearlessly to become a regular area of passage between the upper facilities and the lower neighborhoods.
