La operación engloba varias actuaciones. Por un lado, contempla la redacción de un documento nuevo que, partiendo del PMUS ya elaborado y parcialmente ejecutado, recoja la nueva realidad de la ciudad para continuar desarrollando en Soria una movilidad sostenible e inclusiva, para lo que es fundamental implicar al conjunto de agentes sociales, sectores productivos y otros colectivos del municipio. El Ayuntamiento de Soria busca convertir el municipio en una ciudad accesible, inteligente, sostenible e inclusiva, tomando medidas encaminadas a la pacificación del tráfico, la reducción del impacto ambiental causado por el transporte, reduciendo de esta forma las emisiones de CO2 y la contaminación acústica._x000D_ Por otro lado, el nuevo Plan de Movilidad será la base para la ejecución de proyectos encaminados a alcanzar los objetivos recogidos en el mismo, entre otros, conseguir áreas peatonales y accesibles que permitan mejorar la movilidad y redefinir el tráfico en el centro, fomentando el desplazamiento a pie y el uso de la bici y del transporte público. Entre estas actuaciones se contemplan: mejorar la pavimentación del Casco Antiguo, aumentar el espacio peatonal, soterrar contenedores para una gestión de residuos más ecológica, favorecer los desplazamientos a pie para todos los ciudadanos, también aquellos con necesidades especiales, eliminando barreras arquitectónicas, la pacificación del tráfico en la zona centro para fomentar el comercio de proximidad, etc. (Spanish)

On the one hand, it contemplates the drafting of a new document that, starting with the SUMP already prepared and partially executed, collects the new reality of the city in order to continue developing sustainable and inclusive mobility in Soria, for which it is essential to involve all social agents, productive sectors and other collectives of the municipality. The City of Soria seeks to turn the municipality into an accessible, intelligent, sustainable and inclusive city, taking measures aimed at pacification of traffic, reducing the environmental impact caused by transport, thus reducing CO2 emissions and noise pollution._x000D_ On the other hand, the new Mobility Plan will be the basis for the implementation of projects aimed at achieving the objectives set in it, among others, to achieve pedestrian and accessible areas that allow improving mobility and redefining traffic in the center, promoting walking travel and the use of bike and public transport. These actions include: improve the paving of the Old Town, increase pedestrian space, underground containers for greener waste management, favour walking travel for all citizens, including those with special needs, removing architectural barriers, pacification of traffic in the centre to encourage local trade, etc. (English)
