In this proposal, the acquisition of instrumentation is requested to equip a laboratory of thermophysical properties measurements that would include the acquisition of a Modulated Differential Sweep Calorimeter (MDSC) in temperature and a meter of thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity by the flash method. The Differential Sweep Calorimetry technique is the reference technique for measuring calorimetric properties. In addition, this technique in its version with Modulation in temperature, which is included in this proposal, is the technique mostly accepted for measures of heat capacity. On the other hand, the technique called flash method, is the most used for the measurement of thermophysical properties such as thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity._x000D_ This equipment will be incorporated into the infrastructure of the Institute of Electronic Microscopy and Materials and will serve to strengthen the capacities of the group to which the responsible researcher belongs, providing a new line of research on heat conveyor materials with applications in concentrated solar energy, which is being developed thanks to the funding of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Programa Challenges de la Sociedad 2014). At the same time, researchers from the institute with different lines of work have shown interest in this equipment, since within the institute there have been serious limitations in equipment to carry out this type of measures. En esta propuesta se solicita la adquisición de instrumentación para equipar un laboratorio de medidas de propiedades termofísicas que englobaría la adquisición de un Calorímetro Diferencial de Barrido Modulado (MDSC) en temperatura y un medidor de difusividad térmica y conductividad térmica por el método flash. La técnica de Calorimetría Diferencial de Barrido es la técnica de referencia para la medida de propiedades calorimétricas. Además, esta técnica en su versión con Modulación en temperatura, que es la incluida en esta propuesta, es la técnica mayoritariamente aceptada para medidas de capacidad calorífica. Por otra parte, la técnica denominada ¿método flash¿, es la más utilizada para la medida de propiedades termofísicas como conductividad térmica y difusividad térmica._x000D_ Este equipamiento será incorporado dentro de la infraestructura del Instituto de Microscopia Electrónica y Materiales y servirá para fortalecer las capacidades del grupo al que pertenece el investigador responsable, dotando una nueva línea de investigación sobre materiales transportadores de calor con aplicaciones en energía solar de concentración, que está desarrollándose gracias a la financiación del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (Programa Retos de la Sociedad 2014). A su vez, investigadores del instituto con diferentes líneas de trabajo han mostrado interés en este equipamiento, pues dentro del instituto se han detectado serias limitaciones en equipamiento para realizar este tipo de medidas (Spanish)
