EL OBJETIVO PRINCIPAL DEL PROYECTO VINCE ES CONTRIBUIR A LA CONSECUCION DE DIVERSOS RETOS SOCIALES, PRINCIPALMENTE EN EL AMBITO DEL TRANSPORTE SOSTENIBLE Y EN CONCRETO, EN DOS ASPECTOS RELACIONADOS. EN PRIMER LUGAR, FACILITAR EL USO DE ALUMINIO COMO MATERIAL DE BAJA DENSIDAD, CONTRIBUYENDO A LA DISMINUCION DEL PESO DE LOS VEHICULOS, LINEA DE TRABAJO PRIORITARIA EN LA INDUSTRIA DEL TRANSPORTE QUE PERMITE REDUCIR EL CONSUMO ENERGETICO. NO OBSTANTE, EL EMPLEO DE ALEACIONES DE ALUMINIO COMO COMPONENTE ESTRUCTURAL REQUIERE DE SISTEMAS DE PROTECCION ANTICORROSIVA, ENTRE LOS QUE DESTACAN, POR SU EFECTIVIDAD Y FACILIDAD DE APLICACION, LAS CAPAS DE CONVERSION BASADAS EN CROMATOS. EL SEGUNDO ASPECTO QUE PRETENDEMOS ABARCAR ES DESARROLLO DE METODOS ALTERNATIVOS AL USO DE CROMATOS DE BAJO IMPACTO AMBIENTAL._x000D_ _x000D_ EL CR (VI) PRESENTA EL INCONVENIENTE DE SER TOXICO Y ALTAMENTE CONTAMINANTE, Y SU EMPLEO ESTA SIENDO REGULADO POR NORMATIVA COMUNITARIA (REACH) QUE EXIGE QUE TODOS LOS PROCESOS QUE IMPLICAN EL EMPLEO DE ESTE COMPUESTO SEAN SUSTITUIDOS ANTES DE 2018 POR ALTERNATIVAS NO CONTAMINANTES. ACTUALMENTE ESTA EXIGENCIA NO ESTA RESUELTA. EN ESTA LINEA, LAS CAPAS DE CONVERSION QUIMICA BASADAS EN SALES DE CERIO CONSTITUYEN UNA DE LAS ALTERNATIVAS MAS PROMETEDORAS PARA LA SUSTITUCION DE LOS TRATAMIENTOS SUPERFICIALES BASADOS EN CROMATOS._x000D_ _x000D_ LA IMPLANTACION INDUSTRIAL DE ESTE PROCESO NO SE HA MATERIALIZADO AUN DEBIDO, FUNDAMENTALMENTE, A LA FALTA DE ESTUDIOS SISTEMATICOS RELATIVOS A LA INFLUENCIA DE LOS METODOS DE PRETRATAMIENTO SOBRE LA VELOCIDAD DE DEPOSICION Y LA CALIDAD DE LAS CAPAS OBTENIDAS; A LA OPTIMIZACION DE LA COMPOSICION DE LOS BAÑOS PARA LA UNIVERSALIZACION DEL PROCESO; Y A LA NECESIDAD DE MEJORAR LOS ESTUDIOS SOBRE LA INFLUENCIA DEL PROCESO DE SELLADO. _x000D_ _x000D_ TENIENDO EN CUENTA ESTOS ANTECEDENTES, ESTE PROYECTO DE INVESTIGACION TRATA DE CUBRIR ESTA FALTA DE CONOCIMIENTOS. SE PLANTEA REALIZAR UN ESTUDIO SISTEMATICO DE LA INFLUENCIA QUE TIENEN LAS DISTINTAS FASES QUE DAN LUGAR A LA OBTENCION FINAL DE UNA CAPA DE CONVERSION: PRETRATAMIENTO, FORMACION DE LA CAPA Y POST-TRATAMIENTO. SE OPTIMIZARA CADA UNA DE ESTAS TRES ETAPAS REQUERIDAS PARA EL DESARROLLO DE CAPAS DE CONVERSION EN DISTINTAS ALEACIONES DE ALUMINIO. _x000D_ _x000D_ PARA EVALUAR Y CARACTERIZAR LAS CAPAS DE CONVERSION PREPARADAS, SE SEGUIRA UNA METODOLOGIA QUE INCLUYE LA REALIZACION DE ENSAYOS ORIENTADOS A DETERMINAR LAS CONDICIONES DE PROCESADO QUE PERMITAN OBTENER CAPAS QUE CUMPLAN CON LOS REQUISITOS EXIGIDOS POR LA NORMATIVA AERONAUTICA APLICABLE. EN UNA PRIMERA FASE SE REALIZARAN ENSAYOS DE ASPECTO SUPERFICIAL, RESISTENCIA A LA CORROSION Y ADHERENCIA, MIENTRAS QUE EN UNA SEGUNDA ETAPA, SE LLEVARA A CABO UNA CARACTERIZACION MAS DETALLADA, CON IDEA DE LLEGAR A ENTENDER DESDE UN PUNTO DE VISTA CIENTIFICO LA RELACION EXISTENTE ENTRE CONDICIONES DE PROCESADO Y COMPORTAMIENTO OBSERVADO. EN ESTA SEGUNDA FASE SE PROPONE UTILIZAR TECNICAS DE CARACTERIZACION MAS SOFISTICADAS: MICROSCOPIA ELECTRONICA DE BARRIDO, ESPECTROSCOPIA DE DISPERSION DE ENERGIA, ESPECTROSCOPIA DE FOTOELECTRONES Y TECNICAS ELECTROQUIMICAS DE CORRIENTE CONTINUA/ALTERNA. _x000D_ _x000D_ EL GRUPO SOLICITANTE POSEE UNA DILATADA EXPERIENCIA INVESTIGADORA EN EL DESARROLLO Y ESTUDIO DE CAPAS DE CONVERSION BASADAS EN CERIO, DISPONE DEL EQUIPAMIENTO NECESARIO PARA LLEVARLO A CABO Y HA ADQUIRIDO UN AMPLIO CONOCIMIENTO EN RELACION A LOS REQUISITOS INDUSTRIALES DEL PROCESO. TODO ELLO GARANTIZA QUE EL PROYECTO PROPUESTO PUEDA SER DESARROLLADO CON EXITO. (Spanish)
