The 5GDesigner project is based on developing algorithms capable of planning 5G networks in coverage, electromagnetic compatibility and capacity aspects. The application of innovative 5G techniques makes this planning work difficult, as the system-level impact of some novel technologies is not proven. For this reason, the present project should launch lines of research aimed at the analysis of these techniques. Specifically:_x000D_ • Line 1. Signal propagation. Use of new frequency bands._x000D_ • Line 2. MIMO and Beamforming Techniques. New advanced MIMO and beam conformation techniques._x000D_ • Line 3. Network densification. System behavior to huge volumes of users and IoT devices (Internet of Things)_x000D_ The project has been structured into two activities. The first activity is aimed at the research of algorithms and parameters suitable to model the behavior of the system in the different lines analysed of research proposed. The second activity of the project includes the development of calculation models, their evaluation and their implementation as a radio planning tool that can be integrated with the commercial network design tools developed by APTICA. El proyecto 5GDesigner está basado en desarrollar algoritmos capaces de planificar redes 5G en los aspectos de cobertura, compatibilidad electromagnética y capacidad. La aplicación de técnicas innovadoras en 5G dificulta esta labor de planificación ya que la afectación a nivel de sistema de algunas tecnologías novedosas no está comprobada. Por este motivo, el presente proyecto debe lanzar líneas de investigación orientadas al análisis de estas técnicas. Concretamente:_x000D_ • Línea 1. Propagación de la señal. Utilización de nuevas bandas de frecuencias._x000D_ • Línea 2. Técnicas MIMO y Beamforming. Nuevas técnicas avanzadas de MIMO y conformación de haz._x000D_ • Línea 3. Densificación de red. Comportamiento del sistema ante enormes volúmenes de usuarios y de dispositivos IoT (Internet of Things)_x000D_ El proyecto se ha estructurado en dos actividades. La primera actividad está orientada a la investigación de algoritmos y parámetros adecuados para modelar el comportamiento del sistema en las distintas líneas analizadas de investigación propuestas. La segunda actividad del proyecto incluye el desarrollo de los modelos de cálculo, su evaluación y su implementación como herramienta de planificación radioeléctrica que pueda integrarse con las herramientas comerciales de diseño de redes desarrolladas por APTICA.
