(Spanish)

BACKGROUND: Low-intensity psychological interventions implemented through information and communication technologies (ICTs) are an effective and cost-effective therapeutic alternative in the treatment of depression. OBJECTIVE: Design and evaluate the effectiveness in Primary Care (PA) of three low-intensity psychological interventions applied through ICTs (healthy lifestyle, positive affection and mindfulness) that have previously shown significant efficacy in the treatment of depression in specialised clinical contexts, and that had not been applied using ICTs. METHOD: Randomised multicenter pragmatic clinical trial in 4 parallel groups. The interventions shall be designed and adapted to on-line devices and then the randomised controlled clinical trial shall be conducted; a sample of N=240 patients with mild to moderate depression recruited in PA will be studied. They will be randomly assigned to a) healthy lifestyle psychoeducational program + Enhanced Habitual Treatment (UTA), b) program focused on the promotion of positive affection + TAU, c) mindfulness + TAU or d) TAU. The format of the interventions will be 1 face-to-face session and 4 online modules. The diagnosis of depression will be made with the psychiatric interview MINI. The primary result variable will be the PHQ-9 score. The SF-36 Health Survey and Client Service Receipt Inventory will also be administered. Patients will be evaluated at baseline, post- and post-treatment at 6 and 12 months. An intention-to-treat analysis and another analysis of patients who have followed the protocol will be performed.
