The two complications recorded with_x000D_ higher frequency are:_x000D_ 1. poor bone integration of implanted material with host bone_x000D_ 2. infections, which involve difficult treatment_x000D__ This type of treatment is indispensable in the presence of severe vertebral defects because the sudden collapse of a vertebra could_x000D_ generate a spinal lesion with consequent paralysis. It is clear the great impact on quality of life, economic and social that these pathologies entail_x000D_. Despite this, at present, many patients fail to operate due to the technical difficulties associated with the_x000D_ block resection of the vertebral bodies carried out with the current materials and also because of the high risk of post_x000D_ complications._x000D_ For this precise reason, this project proposes a new type of vertebral implant performed to the patient to facilitate its_x000D_ implantation and to ensure its stability._x000D_ A timely nano-recoupling of the implant’s surface will prevent the implantation and promote a more effective integration of the implant._x000D_ The micro porosity (close to 90 %) of the implant is interconnected and leaves much free space for the_x000D_ vessel regeneration and new bone tissue induced by surface nano-treatment.
