The Bioseeds project aims to optimise the efficient use of fertilisers, which in turn allows an important source of savings and reduction of environmental impacts._x000D_ _x000D_ It is proposed to research a biotechnological alternative that improves the plant’s low use of phosphorus and nitrogen present in the soil, without incorporating harmful elements or contaminants and, in addition, reduces the input of agricultural fertilisers that constitute one of the most common causes of environmental pollution._x000D_ _x000D_ The technical details that will be incorporated into the seed process will be improved. Thanks to the results of the project, unnecessary costs can be eliminated, allowing farmers and customers to pay only for what they really need._x000D_ _x000D_ If the bioavailability of P and N is achieved, it will be possible to maintain optimal production yield with lower fertilisation while reducing costs and reducing environmental impact. In short, the aim is to promote the development of a sustainable agricultural system._x000D_ _x000D_ To achieve the general objective, the following partial objectives have been defined:_x000D_ _x000D_ • Develop and apply seed coating techniques with specific enzymes that are viable under the conditions of use (stabilised and active)._x000D_ • Evaluate the simultaneous mobilisation of N and P in the rhizopheric environment, it entails an improvement in root development and, therefore, an improvement in plant growth after._x000D_ • Studying the effect of the treatment on the quality and protein content of flour from developed seeds.
