La función del economizador consiste en recuperar el calor existente en los humos de descarga calentando el agua que procede del tanque nodriza aproximadamente desde 90ºC hasta 110ºC, y desde el mismo cargar a la caldera. Actualmente dicha agua se calienta con una de las calderas de gas existentes; por lo que dicho consumo dejará de ser necesario con la nueva instalación. _x000D_ El proyecto permitirá aumentar un 8-10% el rendimiento estacionario, consiguiendo reducir la distancia entre la energía entregada al silo y la demanda en el proceso de fabricación, siendo sin duda un paso adelante en la disminución de los ppm en suspensión de los humos, reducción de costes operativos y maximización de la eficiencia global; por cada 10ºC de disminución de la temperatura de los gases de escape, se incrementa el grado de eficiencia en un 1%.
