Esta operación para la que solicita financiación se enmarca en la línea de actuación de la EDUSI MOTRIL ABIERTA Y ATRACTIVA. La operación consiste en la mejora del entorno urbano del Parque de los Pueblos de América y el recinto de la Alcoholera._x000D_ Con la ejecución de esta operación se quiere dar respuesta que a las necesidades detectadas en la EDUSI MOTRIL 2020:MOTRIL SI253, es decir, actuar sobre zonas de la ciudad que necesitan acciones integradas de revitalización como es este importante conjunto urbano y medioambiental que forman la Antigua zona industrial de la Alcoholera y el Parque de los pueblo de América en la ciudad de Motril._x000D_ En la actualidad este ámbito urbano se encuentra muy deteriorado con una urbanización obsoleta en sus aspectos formales, materiales y funcionales, mostrando una situación que no se corresponde con la importancia que tiene el Parque de los Pueblos de América, que sumado al potencial de mejora urbana y medioambiental de la antigua zona industrial de la Alcoholera, pueden hacer del conjunto un elemento paisajístico y medioambiental urbano de primer nivel. Es por esto por lo que es necesario realizar una rehabilitación integrada de este suelo urbano de titularidad publica, para dotarla de una urbanización y jardinería renovada, amable, moderan, segura para las personas y de accesibilidad plena, que además sirva para la reactivación del conj8unto y la mejora del entorno urbano en general para todos los habitantes de Motril.
