Property / summary: bjetive: The diagnostic value of the hunchs in general, as well as the diagnostic value of the (especially predictive values and probability coefficients) for predicting cancer in the clinical consultations of the family doctor. Secondary objectives: 1) Estimate the prevalence of ‘hearted’ in family medicine consultations. 2.1) Estimate the relationship of ‘hearts’ (feeling of alarm or feeling of security) with the request for complementary tests and referrals to specialist consultations. 2.2) Estimate the relationship of the ‘hearted’ with the characteristics of the patient (sociodemographic and clinical) and with the characteristics of the professional (sex, experience, type of practice, context in which the consultation takes place and knowledge of the patient). Scope: Health Area of Mallorca, and health sector of Zaragoza Material and methods: Prospective observational study of diagnostic validity. Sample: 2966 patients who come to the clinic. Variables: patient (sociodemographic data, type of visit, date), doctor (age, sex, teaching, environment, years experience, scale of practice style, consultation (cancer-related symptoms, Gut Feelings questionnaire). Follow-up outcome variables at 6-12 months: cancer incident diagnoses, request for tests, referrals, visits. Analysis: Main objective: VPP and VPN, sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, LR+ and LR- of alarm and security sensations. Secondary objectives: Descriptive analysis of the estimation of the prevalence of hunchs, of feeling of alarm and security. Bivariate analysis with main variables of request for diagnostic testing and referral, patient and professional characteristics and their relationship with hunchs. Multivariate analysis of logistic regression. (English) / rank | |||||||||||||||

(Spanish)
