Cilji javnega razpisa za izbor operacij so zlasti: - spodbujanje nastanka novih socialnih podjetij, in mladinskih zadrug z namenom realizacije inovativnih socialno podjetniških idej na trgu;- spodbujanje obstoječih socialnih podjetij k oblikovanju inovativnih podjetniških podjemov in inovativnih izdelkov in storitev za trajnostni obstoj na trgu:- ustvarjanje novih delovnih mest in zaposlovanje na področju socialnega podjetništva; - povečanje števila socialnih podjetij z namenom razvoja novih inovativnih poslovnih modelov, ki omogočajo zadovoljevanje družbenih potreb in doseganje družbenih učinkov ter povečanje njihovega trajnostnega delovanja; - povečanje socialne vključenosti zlasti ranljivih skupin s spodbujanjem njihove aktivacije in realizacije njihovih podjetniških idej na trgu; - zmanjšanje razvojnega zaostanka s krepitvijo ekosistema socialne ekonomije.
