POSTERIORMENTE, SE PROCEDERA A LA CATEGORIZACION DE ESTE CORPUS DE TEXTOS, PARA TERMINAR CON UN ESTUDIO DE LAS IDEAS LINGUISTICAS Y LINGUISTICO-PEDAGOGICAS, Y UN ANALISIS DE LAS POLEMICAS PUNTUALES EN TORNO A INSTITUCIONES Y PERSONALIDADES RELACIONADAS CON LA PRODUCCION Y CIRCULACION DE LOS SABERES SOBRE LA LENGUA.     HISTORIOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH, WHICH CENTERS ITS ANALYSIS FUNDAMENTALLY ON THE STUDY OF CANONICAL SOURCES, HAS BARELY PAID ATTENTION TO THE LINGUISTIC AND PEDAGOGICAL-LINGUISTIC ASPECTS PRESENT IN THE PERIODICAL PRESS. IN GENERAL, THE HISTORIAN OF LINGUISTICS PREFERS TO FOCUS THE OBJECT OF HIS OR HER STUDY ON DIDACTIC TREATISES, GRAMMARS, DICTIONARIES, AND SO ON, ABOUT WHICH WE ALREADY HAVE VERY SIGNIFICANT ADVANCES FOR THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE DOCTRINAL EVOLUTION OF THESE DISCURSIVE TRADITIONS IN A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF LANGUAGES. HOWEVER, AT PRESENT, RESEARCHERS ARE APPROACHING OTHER NON-CANONICAL SOURCES OF INFORMATION IN ORDER TO ADJUST AND COMPLETE THE PERCEPTION AND DESCRIPTION OF THE HISTORY OF LINGUISTIC THOUGHT. ACCORDING TO THIS LINE OF REASONING, OUR PROJECT PURSUES THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY -AT A GENERAL AND PARTICULAR LEVEL- OF HOW TO CIRCULATE AND ARTICULATE LINGUISTIC AND PEDAGOGICAL-LINGUISTIC IDEAS IN THE WRITTEN PRESS IN THE 19TH CENTURY -A PERIOD ESPECIALLY RELEVANT TO THE HISTORY OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE- WHICH WILL ALLOW A CONTRAST BETWEEN THE DOCTRINAL AND DIDACTIC ASPECTS MAINTAINED IN THIS NON-CANONICAL SOURCE AND THOSE PRESENT IN THE USUAL OBJECTS OF STUDY OF HISTORIOGRAPHY. THE TWO CHOSEN ASPECTS (LINGUISTIC AND PEDAGOGICAL) ARE CONSUBSTANTIAL TO THE PROPOSED TEMPORAL DIMENSION, GIVEN THE SPECIAL PROFUSION OF THE CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ASPECTS IN THE PRESS OF THE TIME. IN ESSENCE, WE INTEND TO CREATE AN INTEGRAL CORPUS OF ARTICLES DRAWN FROM BOTH THE GENERAL PRESS AND FROM THE TEACHING PROFESSION, REFLECTING OPINIONS AND IDEAS AROUND THE SPANISH LANGUAGE AND THE WAY IT WAS TAUGHT AT THE TIME. NEXT, WE SHALL PROCEED TO CATEGORIZE THIS CORPUS OF TEXTS TO END WITH A STUDY OF THE LINGUISTIC AND PEDAGOGICAL-LINGUISTIC IDEAS, AND AN ANALYSIS OF THE SPECIFIC POLEMICS THAT REVOLVE AROUND INSTITUTIONS AND PERSONALITIES RELATED TO THE PRODUCTION AND CIRCULATION OF DIFFERENT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT LANGUAGE.
