En los Servicios Centrales de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (SC-ICYT) de la Universidad de Cádiz (UCA) se encuentra en funcionamiento la División de Resonancia Magnética Nuclear (RMN) en la que están instalados equipos de RMN de medio-alto campo suministrado por la empresa Agilent. Estos equipos presentan la configuración adecuada para dar el servicio solicitado a grupos de investigación de diversas áreas de la química, la ingeniería química, la física, o la ecología, entre otras. _x000D_ El espectrómetro de RMN de 600 MHz de la División se adquirió en 2002, por lo que actualmente lleva funcionando 16 años. Por otra parte, en 2014, Agilent decidió poner fin al desarrollo y producción de equipos de RMN y se nos comunicó que asistiría a estos equipos hasta 2021. A partir de este momento, Agilent sólo daría asistencia si tuviesen piezas para su reposición sin poder satisfacer aquellas necesidades relativas a equipamiento periférico habitual, como nuevas sondas, canales de radiofrecuencias, amplificadores, etc. Por todo ello y teniendo en cuenta la demanda de la técnica en la Universidad de Cádiz, es necesario realizar esta petición de equipamiento._x000D_ Con esta propuesta se garantizaría el servicio continuado a toda una comunidad científica cuya investigación depende diariamente del funcionamiento y actualización de los equipos de RMN. The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Division in Central Services of Scientific and Technological Research (SC-ICYT) of the University of Cádiz (UCA), has installed NMR equipment of medium-high field, supplies by the Agilent company. This equipment is optimized for needs of research groups from various áreas including chemistry, chemical engineering, physics or ecology._x000D_ The 600 MHz NMR spectrometer was acquired in 2002, so it has been working for 16 years. On the other hand, in 2014, Agilent decided to end the development and production of NMR equipment and we were informed that it would attend these equipment until 2021. From this moment, Agilent would only provide assistance if they had parts for replacement without being able to satisfy those needs related to usual peripheral equipment, such as new probes, radio frequencies channels, amplifiers, etc. Taking into account the demand for the technique at the University of Cádiz, it is necessary to apply for a new high field NMR equipment._x000D_ In this way, the service will be guaranteed to a whole scientific community whose research depends daily on the functioning and updating of the NMR equipment.
