Předkládaný projekt Zajištění odolnosti centrální stanice Nový Jičín HZS Moravskoslezského kraje (dále HZS MSK) k řešení a řízení rizik způsobených změnou klimatu, má za úkol předejít situacím, kdy vyvolaná rizika z důvodu změny klimatu nebo nových rizik s sebou ponesou mimořádné události. ORP Nový Jičín a HZS Moravskoslezského kraje, resp. stanice Nový Jičín HZS MSK ležící v daném ORP, nemá zajištěny dostatečné podmínky pro rychlý výjezd k mimořádným událostem způsobených zmíněnými riziky.
