The aim of the project is to increase the treatment and monitoring capacity of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus in order to reduce the associated complications, by developing the competencies of specialised medical personnel. The objective of the project is to improve the skills of doctors and nurses in the management of type 1 diabetes in the child and the use of state-of-the-art medical equipment as well as for the development of medical treatment and care procedures. The goal of the project was determined by the increase of the incidence of type 1 diabetes in children and the lack of pediatric specialists. Providing quality medical services will have an impact on the social integration of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus, facilitating their participation in social life and providing equal access.
