The general objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the PIS in Ploiesti Municipality – Stage I: tramway 102. In order to achieve this general objective, the beneficiary will consider the achievement of 4 specific objectives (OS1 – OS4), as presented in the section “Specific objectives of the project” below. The achievement of the 4 specific objectives will be achieved by implementing the following package of measures: M1. Modernisation of public lighting related to tram lines 102 by replacing existing luminaires with sodium vapour in high-performance LED luminaires with integrated connectivity and communication capabilities. It will also be considered to solve the situations of road conflict – from a bright point of view (intersections, pedestrian crossings, roundabouts, etc.) so as to comply with the values stipulated by the SREN 13201 standard. The new lighting system will comply with SR EN 13201:2016; M2. Replacement of luminaires in the 28 standby stations for passengers by LED-based solutions; M3. Implementation of an Open Source Data-based lighting telemanagement system with API and power optimisation facilities to monitor and control individually and on groups the operation of light points as well as electric boxes serving the installation; M4. Installation of photovoltaic panels that will serve the lighting fixtures in the waiting stations for travelers; M5. Re-unification and extension of LED technology lighting system and mounting of new poles to cover areas without public lighting, especially pedestrian traffic routes, according to SR EN 13201:2016.
