In the Learn2Code project – Digital Skills Learning, the applicant will focus on improving the quality, efficiency and innovation of existing ICT curricula that will translate from face-to-face learning to distance form (e-learning). The applicant shall train 500 young people under the age of 25 with the help of the curriculum created. Statistics speak unequivocally – only 25 % of students are today educated with access and know-how to ICT, with up to 90 % of jobs in need of digital skills. The direct impact of the project will be to strengthen the position of this population on the labour market, as they will acquire qualifications from one of the six ICT areas where the project will develop training courses. This education is in line with the Human Resources Operational Programme and its specific objective 1.4.1 Improving the quality and efficiency of lifelong learning with an emphasis on the development of key competences, deepening and upskilling will support the design and implementation of training programmes for the development of adult competences in line with labour market requirements (increasing, acquiring, supplementing), including ICT, which is in line with the desired outcome of the programme, linking the education system to the labour market through newly created non-formal education programmes. Quality and practical life-long learning is essential in the context of a rapidly changing labour market. The project’s training modules clearly respond to the needs of the target group (young people under 25), which acquires key ICT knowledge (visual design, website creation, web programming, mobile app programming, video creation and online marketing), which will significantly increase their applicability to the labour market.
