The rapid development of information technologies makes it possible to provide healthcare more efficiently, which entails the processing of large amounts of personal data. It is desirable to sensibly adjust the balance in the provision of health care in order to minimise interference with the fundamental human rights and freedoms of patients. For this reason, the target group of the project is health care providers carrying out their activities in the less developed region of the Slovak Republic (Košice Region), who, as beneficiaries of policies relevant to the performance of their activities, regularly face problematic aspects and negative impacts of these policies on patients as well as on the actual performance of health care. In order to achieve the objective of the project, the main activity (monitoring, analysis and design) will be implemented, consisting of sub-tasks divided into 3 work packages. Within these frameworks, we will analyse and optimise relevant policies and regulatory frameworks to address gaps in the protection of personal data in the provision of healthcare, as well as to simplify and streamline the rules for the processing of personal data and the handling of security incidents. The aim is to develop the concept of a friendly data environment. The main activity will also include information activities aimed at conveying the results of the professional and lay public (infographics, publications, educational activities). (English)

Prudký vývoj informačných technológií umožňuje efektívnejšie poskytovanie zdravotnej starostlivosti, ktoré so sebou prináša spracúvanie veľkého množstva osobných údajov. (Slovak)

(English)
