The aim of the project “Supporting young and socially excluded Roma in the labour market” is to increase the employability of young unemployed (NEETs) from marginalised Roma communities (MRKs) in the labour market through specialised counselling and assistance of social workers/labour advisers People at risk. The project aims at (i) systematic and specialised support and assistance to young unemployed people from CLLD in their labour market applications in combination with (ii) targeted support to employers in integrating this target group into the labour force and among their existing employees. We plan to assist specific selected clients either by facilitating job offers and assistance in contact with employers, or by supporting them in obtaining training or retraining (according to the needs and situation of the particular client).  We work with these young people from the target group for a long time as part of the services of community centers in Prešov (Kojatice, Petrovany, Sveržov, Roškovce) and the Bratislava region (Plavecký Thursday), which focus on complex work with the population of marginalised Roma communities. Despite the significant demand for (even low-skilled) labour in the labour market today, a large part of socially excluded population is unable to obtain and maintain a long-term job due to the lack of readiness of the working environment and the lack of support for employers in this process. In addition to direct work with service clients, the project therefore includes activities in the field of preparing employers for employees from Roma communities and supporting them in solving problems related to the employment of persons coming from an environment of social exclusion.
