    Mesto Stará Turá leží v údolí medzi Bielymi a Malými Karpatmi pod vrchom Veľká Javorina 12 km od okresného mesta Nové Mesto nad Váhom smerom na Myjavu. Je to turisticky zaujímavá oblasť a zatraktívnuje ju blízkosť hranice z Českou republikou.Má 9054 obyvateľov a rozlohu 5094 ha. Z toho žije 2401 obyvateľov v rodinných domoch v 1292 domácnostiach a 6936 obyvateľov v 2733 domácnostiach v bytových domoch.Podľa § 14 ods. 8 vyhlášky majú obce povinnosť zabezpečenia triedeného zberu BRO zo záhrad (§ 81 ods. 7 písm. b) tretieho bodu zákona o odpadoch). V meste sa nachádzajú producenti BRO:1292 rodinných domov, 2733 bytových jednotiek3 x materská,  základná škola a 1 stredná škola,2x cintorín, 8x ihrisko, 1x trhovisko.Mesto Stará Turá v rámci realizácie projektu obstará 800 ks kompostérov s objemom 1000 l určených do domácností na zber BRO pochádzajúci zo záhrad.     The town of Stará Turá lies in the valley between the White and Little Carpathians under the Velka Javorina hill 12 km from the district town Nové Mesto nad Váhom in the direction of Myjava. It is a touristly interesting area and makes it attractive to the border from the Czech Republic. It has 9054 inhabitants and an area of 5094 ha. Of this, 2401 inhabitants live in single-family houses in 1292 households and 6936 inhabitants in 2733 households in apartment buildings.According to Section 14(8) of the Decree, municipalities are obliged to ensure separate collection of BRO from gardens (Section 81(7)(b) third item of the Waste Act). In the city there are producers BRO:1292 family houses, 2733 residential units3 x kindergarten, primary school and 1 secondary school, 2x cemetery, 8x playground, 1x marketplace. The city of Stará Turá within the framework of the implementation of the project will procure 800 pcs of composters with a volume of 1000 l intended for households to collect BRO coming from gardens.
