Obec Šindelová má zpracovaný povodňový plán v klasické podobě formátů prostředí MS Office.Stávající forma neumožňuje plnohodnotnou prezentaci plánu a důležitých dat z nových koncepčních a strategických materiálů občanům. Neumožňuje generování povodňových map jako podklad pro hlídkovou službu. Plán nezohledňuje nově vymezené kritické body přívalových povodní definované studií Karlovarského kraje "Riziková území při extrémních přívalových srážkách".VIS obec nemá v současné době žádný.
