The general objective of the project is to increase the capacity of care and treatment of COVID-19 cases to manage the emergency situation at the level of the medical unit, so that it contributes to the development of operationality at national, regional level and to the health of the community in the area it serves, increasing the quality and timeliness of the services provided to patients. By implementing this project, the hospital aims to respond to the current challenges, following the endowment of the unit with performing medical equipment, in order to ensure an effective, safe response for both the patient and medical professionals in a timely manner, adapted to the needs and the large number of patients positively detected with the SARS-COV-2 virus. The project contributes to the achievement of the programme result indicator by developing additional capacity to care and treat cases of COVID-19 infection. The general objective falls within the objectives issued by Order No 613 of the Minister of European Funds, approving the Applicant’s Guide – Strengthening the Covid-19 Health Crisis Management Capacity, Priority Axis (PA) 9 Protection of population health in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, Specific Objective (OS) 9.1 Increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis, within the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme (IMOP) 2014-2020 through the Call for Projects – Call Code: LIOP/819/9/1. At the same time, the general objective of the project is consistent with the results pursued by the call for projects and the action selected for financing, according to section 3.1.1, namely the endowment of public sanitary units with medical equipment and equipment. The project contributes to the compliance and implementation of the recommendations of Order of the Minister of Health 555/3.04.2020 on the Plan of Measures for the Preparation of Hospitals in the context of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. The project contributes to the LIOP result indicator 2S132 – Appropriate care and treatment of cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management. The indicator is qualitative: Before the LIOP intervention: NO; After the LIOP:DA intervention. The project contributes to this indicator by equipping the health unit with a role in the management of the health crisis with the equipment needs established by the responsible authorities respectively the Ministry of Health. The intervention capacity is currently limited and through the implementation of the project it will be improved by increasing the capacity of care and treatment of COVID-19 cases. (English)
