Obiectivul general al proiectului initiat de Parohia Ortodoxa Romana Plopis il reprezinta impulsionarea dezvoltarii comunei Sisesti, judetului Maramures si a regiunii Nord-Vest, cu accent pe cresterea importantei turismului cultural local, ca factor stimulator al dezvoltarii economiei a regiunii Nord-Vest, respectand principiile dezvoltarii durabile si protectiei mediului, prin activitati de conservare si restaurare a patrimoniului cultural si al culturii traditionale romanesti. Dezvoltarea sectorului turistic – sector cu potential ridicat - in judetul Maramures ar putea sa contribuie, de asemenea, si la dezvoltarea sectoarelor economice conexe, conducand astfel spre o crestere a ofertei fortei de munca cu impact direct in crearea de noi locuri de munca. Obiectivul de patrimoniu cultural, Biserica de lemn “Sf. Arhangheli Mihail si Gavril”, odata protejat si valorificat, impreuna cu celelalte obiective turistice existente pe teritoriul judetului Maramures si al regiunii Nord-Vest, pot contribui in mod direct la dezvoltarea sectorului turistic, unul dintre sectoarele cu cel mai ridicat potential de a oferi crestere si dezvoltare economica la nivel local si regional. Acest sector are un efect multiplicator care actioneaza ca un element dinamizant al sistemului economic, generand o cerere specifica de bunuri si servicii, care antreneaza o crestere in sfera de productie a acestora, contribuind in mod direct la diversificarea si impulsionarea dezvoltarii sectoarelor economiei locale/regionale/nationale. Consolidarea, restaurarea si valorificarea durabila a obiectivului de patrimoniu construit UNESCO - Biserica de lemn “Sf. Arhangheli Mihail si Gavril” - are la baza politica dezvoltarii sustenabile a patrimoniului cultural, care impreuna cu valorificarea si promovarea durabila a acestuia poate avea un efect pozitiv atat asupra relansarii economice a regiunii, cat si asupra imbunatatirii calitatii vietii. The general objective of the project initiated by the Romanian Orthodox Parish Plopis is to boost the development of Sisesti commune, Maramures county and North-West region, with a focus on increasing the importance of local cultural tourism, as a stimulating factor in the development of the North-West region economy, respecting the principles of sustainable development and environmental protection, through conservation and restoration activities of the Romanian cultural heritage and traditional culture. The development of the tourism sector – sector with high potential – in Maramures county could also contribute to the development of related economic sectors, thus leading to an increase in labour supply with a direct impact on the creation of new jobs. Cultural Heritage Objective, Wooden Church "St. Archangel Mihail si Gavril", once protected and valued, together with the other tourist attractions existing on the territory of Maramures county and North-West region, can contribute directly to the development of the tourism sector, one of the sectors with the highest potential to offer economic growth and development at local and regional level. This sector has a multiplier effect that acts as a dynamic element of the economic system, generating a specific demand for goods and services, which leads to an increase in their production, directly contributing to the diversification and stimulation of the development of local/regional/national economy sectors. Strengthening, restoring and sustainably capitalising on the UNESCO built heritage objective – Wooden Church "St. Archangeli Mikhail si Gavril" – is based on the policy of sustainable development of cultural heritage, which together with its sustainable valorisation and promotion can have a positive effect both on the economic recovery of the region and on improving the quality of life.
