Obiectivul general al proiectului vizeaza cresterea competitivitatii economice si imbunatatirea conditiilor de viata a comunitatilor din localitățile Teregova, Cornereva și Mehadia prin cresterea conectivitatii si mobilitatii zonelor rurale din vecinatatea coridorului rutier TEN-T. Proiectul vizează reducerea disparitatilor de dezvoltare si a decalajelor rural-urban prin imbunatatirea accesului locuitorilor din mediul rural către orașe si municipiul de resedinta de judet. Accesul rutier facil ofera locuitorilor din mediul rural oportunități crescute in domeniul învățământului (scoli-licee), in domeniul sanatate (spitale) dar si a oportunităților economice (locuri de munca). Investițiile in infrastructura rutiera, mai ales cele din vecinătatea rețelelor trans-europene importante, aduc un plus de valoare in nivelul de trai al comunitatilor beneficiare în mod direct (locuitorii traseului DJ 608) cat si beneficiarilor indirecti (traficul de tranzit ce utilizeaza DJ 608). The general objective of the project aims to increase economic competitiveness and improve the living conditions of the communities in Teregova, Cornereva and Mehadia localities by increasing the connectivity and mobility of rural areas in the vicinity of the TEN-T road corridor. The project aims to reduce development disparities and rural-urban disparities by improving the access of rural residents to cities and towns of county residence. Easy road access offers rural residents increased opportunities in education (secondary schools), health (hospitals) but also economic opportunities (jobs). Investments in road infrastructure, especially those in the vicinity of important trans-European networks, bring added value to the living standards of the beneficiary communities directly (inhabitants of the DJ 608) and indirect beneficiaries (transit traffic using DJ 608).
