The general objective of the project is to increase the capacity to manage the health crisis through investments necessary to strengthen the capacity to react to the public health crisis caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Petrosani Emergency Hospital, within 11 months through the purchase of devices, medical devices, protective equipment and other appropriate facilities in order to respond in a timely and effective manner to the crisis caused by providing adequate medical services. The overall objective is in line with Specific Objective 9.1 Increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis aims to promote the necessary investments to strengthen the response capacity to the public health crisis caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus by directly contributing to the development of the health infrastructure, by investing in equipment and specific equipment/device thus contributing to the development of operationality at national, regional and local level, reducing inequalities in public health and improving access to quality medical services. The project aims to modernise and technologicalise the Petrosani Emergency Hospital, the poor infrastructure that continues to use physically and morally worn equipment, through the acquisition of new and efficient equipment, as well as protective equipment that brings a qualitative increase in the services offered, as well as a quantitative increase in the number of beneficiaries of medical services, improving the state of public health at Hunedoara county level. One of the major problems faced by the health sector, generating social disparities and the inequity of access to health services is represented by insufficiently developed and worn out health infrastructure from a physical and moral point of view. Many of the hospitals in Romania operate in buildings built more than 50 years ago, composed of many pavilions, which are sometimes located in the same premises, but are often located at a long distance. This characteristic of hospital infrastructure causes difficulties in treating patients with associated pathologies, especially in the context of the pandemic, generating high costs for patient transport, difficult access to explorations taking place in different pavilions (which generates prolongation of hospitalisations) and a high need for medical staff to provide specific care. Moreover, these deficiencies are added to the lack of specific equipment and protective equipment so vital to carry out the medical act and protect the lives of all people involved in the fight COVID 19. Directly and indirectly, this situation leads to a very high consumption of resources by the hospital, negatively influencing the funds available for primary or outpatient care. Outdated medical equipment generates additional costs (English)

Echipamentele medicale învechite genereaza costuri suplimenta (Romanian)
