The village Imeľ is located in Nitra region in the district of Komárno and lies 20 km north of the district town Komárno on flat territory. The village is built mostly by family houses, which have gardens of large size – most over 2000 m². The aim of the project is to contribute to the recovery of biodegradable municipal waste in the municipality by expanding the already existing composting plant for the processing of green and organic waste with a view to its subsequent composting. At present, the village has a small composting plant, its capacity is limited by building buildings, but composting has proved its worth in the village, so the village approaches the extension of its capacity. The main activity of the project is the recovery of biodegradable municipal waste. Obec Imeľ sa nachádza v Nitrianskom kraji v okrese Komárno a leží 20 km na sever od okresného mesta Komárno na rovinatom území. Obec je zastavaná prevažne rodinnými domami, ktoré disponujú záhradami o veľkej výmere – väčšina nad 2000 m2. Cieľom projektu je prispieť k zhodnocovaniu biologicky rozložiteľného komunálneho odpadu v obci rozšírením už existujúcej kompostárne na spracovanie zeleného a organického odpadu za účelom jeho následného kompostovania. V súčasnosti obec disponuje malou kompostárňou, jej kapacita je limitovaná stavebnými objektmi, kompostovanie sa však v obci osvedčilo, preto obec pristupuje k rozšíreniu jej kapacity. Hlavnou aktivitou projeku je Zhodnocovanie biologicky rozložiteľného komunálneho odpadu.
