The project addresses the improvement of the parameters and the structural and technical condition of the affected section of the existing road and its components in the following range:• Increasing the load capacity of the road• removal of point defects of the road according to the structural and technical condition of the road• strengthening of the edges and slopes of the road body• re-profiling of drainage • construction of safety elements of transport infrastructure, traffic signs, guardrails. Road II/564 is used as a fast link of the city with roads I/76 and I/75, connects the district town Levice (center of settlement of 2nd group) with the town Štúrovo (centre of settlement of the 3 rd group). It is also used for transit transport towards Hungary and provides a connection with the Santovka Spa. From the point of view of providing transport services in the region of the region, the road in question connects the catchment area Štúrovo with the catchment area of Levice with important economic operators and employers of the region. On the above communication, the high intensity of the number of VOD connections is noted: 47 per working day and 561 passengers are transported.In order to ensure safety at frequent VOD stops, the project foresees the modification or replacement of traffic signs and the renewal of pedestrian crossings in the affected municipalities, taking into account safety features and features for the visually impaired and blind. Projekt rieši zlepšenie parametrov a stavebno-technického stavu dotknutého úseku existujúcej cesty a jej súčastí v nasledujúcom rozsahu:• zvýšenie únosnosti vozovky• odstránenie bodových závad vozovky podľa stavebno-technického stavu cesty• spevnenie krajníc a svahov cestného telesa• reprofilácia odvodnenia• vybudovanie bezpečnostných prvkov dopravnej infraštruktúry, dopravné značenie, zvodidlá.. Cesta II/564 je využívaná ako rýchla spojnica mesta s cestami I/76 a I/75, spája okresné mesto Levice (centrum osídlenia 2. skupiny) s mestom Štúrovo (centrum osídlenia 3. skupiny). Je tiež využívaná pre tranzitnú prepravu smerom na Maďarsko a zabezpečuje spojenie s kúpeľmi Santovka. Z pohľadu zabezpečovania dopravnej obslužnosti v regióne kraja predmetná cesta spája spádovú oblasť Štúrovo so spádovou oblasťou Levíc s významnými hospodárskymi subjektmi a zamestnávateľmi regiónu.Na uvedenej komunikácii je zaznamenaná vysoká intenzita počtu spojov VOD: 47 na jeden pracovný deň a prepraví sa 561 cestujúcich.Z dôvodu zabezpečenia bezpečnosti na frekventovaných zastávkach VOD projekt predpokladá v dotknutých obciach úpravu alebo výmenu dopravného značenia a obnovu priechodov pre peších s ohľadom na bezpečnostné prvky a prvky pre slabozrakých a nevidiacich.
