The project is presented by the Agency for Regional Development of Koice, n. o. (ARR), with the support of its founder of the Koice Self-Governing Region. The overall objective of the project is to misinform Slovakia’s inhabitants about the negative consequences of climate change and, in particular, about the possibilities to strengthen the resilience of our settlements with adaptation measures that will reduce their vulnerability and at the same time increase the readiness of the local population to the adverse effects of climate change (both natural and technological disasters). Residents of the whole Slovakia will be approached through text-graphic and video materials published via the Internet. Residents of the Koice Region will also be informed through face-to-face meetings, Objectives: increase information on the functioning and impact of natural ecosystems on the changing climate. As nature itself is able to cope with climate change (adaptation capacity).Improve the preparation of the population to the adverse effects of climate change. It will deliver information on adaptation processes and measures (revitalisation measures) that will limit or prevent the effects of adverse effects of climate change (because prevention is the most effective and even the cheapest tool). OBGs: Students and educators of the middle rounds (S) in the territory of the county (63 S in the establishment of the KSK + 47 private and ecclesiastical S) will acquire knowledge and information about climate change and the necessity to adapt (adaptation) or mitigate the effects of climate change (mitigation) within general educational subjects. Educators – get the latest information on this topic, which will be used in the next school years (after the end of the project)Mayors (principals) and Members: elected representatives of municipalities are responsible for governance, including crisis management so that the inhabitants of the municipality are prepared and well informed what they do in crisis situations (in the case of sudden river basins, landslides, etc.). Information on the need to adapt to climate changeManagers of enterprises will be disseminated through local government (municipalities): in particular, in the areas that may be most affected by climate change (land management). Disseminating information on the need to adapt to climate change for the irie layers of the population (e.g. owners of rustlessness in municipalities)In the main activity, 3 information programmes are proposed: 1. Preparation and printing of information materials2. Educational film and short clips3. Seminars, workshops, competitions and excursions (English) | |||||||||||||||
