O projeto caracteriza-se pela implementação, nos troços Tunes-Lagos e Faro-VRSt António, duma catenária (1x25 kV) e pela adaptação dos sistemas e instalações do troço Tunes-Faro, já eletrificado. Considera ainda a ampliação duma subestação, a construção duma nova incluindo o ramal de alimentação à rede pública e os trabalhos complementares de construção civil, e de adaptação e instalação dos sistemas eletrónicos de sinalização e telecomunicações. The project is characterised by the implementation, in the Tunes-Lagos and Faro-VRSt António sections, of a catenary (1x25 kV) and by the adaptation of the systems and installations of the Tunes-Faro section, already electrified. It also considers the extension of a substation, the construction of a new one including the power supply to the public network and the complementary construction work, and the adaptation and installation of electronic signalling and telecommunications systems.
